THE HUNGRY CAT, Santa Barbara’s premier American seafood house serving the city’s premium seafood creations by Chef/Owner David Lentz and Chef de Cuisine Peter Cham, presents a three-course wine pairing dinner featuring Ballard Canyon’s Stolpman Vineyards on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Special guests, Winemakers Jessica and Peter Stolpman, will be on hand to meet guests and discuss the eight wine pairings for the dinner.
The Stolpman Vineyards Winemaker Dinner begins with an amuse bouche of The Hungry Cat’s Hamachi Crudo with pickled chili, lime ice and cilantro paired with 2015 Stolpman Rosé and 2015 Sauvignon Blanc. The first course of Grilled Snapper with cannellini beans and smoked tomato jam is served with Stolpman 2013 L’Avion Roussanne and 2015 Carbonic Sangiovese.Meat lovers will savor the main course of Braised Short-Rib with celeriac, thumbalina carrots and gremolata, paired with both Stolpman 2014 Grenache and 2014 La Cuadrilla Red. For dessert, The Hungry Cat serves Chocolate Panna Cotta with salted caramel, cara cara orange and hazelnut with Stolpman 2014 originals Syrah and 2014 Angeli Syrah.
The Stolpman Vineyards’ three-course dinner is priced at $79 per person, excluding tax and gratuity.
